Good Winter

It was a few days before the new year when almost a foot of snow fell around here through the night.  It was about time we got some real snow.  There was not a peep from a bird or squirrel the morning after.  By the way, Happy New Year!

This snow did not produce nicely formed snowflakes.  I looked all around and only spotted two, but they were on my car and melted in the garage before I could get a good pic.  

A spot of rainbow shone in the waify clouds.
