Melting Snowflakes
I was surprised to see that there was a dusting of snow on the ground this morning when I woke up and went downstairs to make pancakes for my younger one. I watched the outdoor temp rising to just above freezing and knew I should abandon breakfast for a few minutes to try to capture some snowflakes before they melted. The last snow was big, but didn't produce well formed snowflakes. Instead, I decided to finish what I was doing first. Then I hunted around for where I last left the macro lens and went outside. I looked closely at the fallen snow and watched the beautifully shaped flakes quickly becoming less defined. Here's what I found...

ReplyDeletethanks for the snowy... icy pictures!! they're beautiful!! i may get to see some ice here in north FL...after a freezing night...but, no snow! =( i miss it...having grown up in NY...i remember those snowmen, igloos, sledding, licking icicles, snow angels, snowballs...
NOW i have to take a drive farther north...into GA or NC to see some snow!!
